Got there around 7am. Good turn out! LOTS of nice looking cars! Wife and I stayed around the Vee Dub section looking for parts for our '61  I ended up buying a 4 bolt main 350 block (of all places in the VW section LoL) for $75   :D My Chevelle needs a new block, so now I can have this new one bored out .030" over, add some new pistons (cause the ones I have are .060" over), *maybe* some new rods cause I'm not sure if the ones I have will work, swap over my crank, and viola! Brand spankin' new motor! :D

Why not bore your new block 60 over(you were gonna bore it anyway) and use your old pistons? Build it right and you don't have to worry about future rebuilds. Save some $$ and build a stout bottom end.

I'd prefer to stay away from boring out a fresh block .060" over. It'll also help to keep the motor run cooler by boring it out .030". Another thing, by keeping it at .030", I still have some leeway(sp?) if a rebuild/over bore would be in it's future :)

I haven't been there much lately..........it's 500 miles away. I used to go a lot, but have been busy of late. I will be going to the LA Roadster show in June for sure, cuz I bought a "barn find" 29 F%@d roadster that I'm hoping to sell there.

Any of you guys planning on going to the Long Beach swap meet? I've never been to that one. I'd love to go, but don't know if I'll make it. Any of you guys going to the next Pomona swap meet in April? I should be there! :D
