I want to put a set of these on front and rear but according to the Jegs catalog the fronts are only good for 1810lbs. My front end weight is 2040lbs. Will my car sit too low with the 1810lb springs?

I NEED new springs and don't know which direction to go.

Dustin,
I have Moroso trick springs front and rear in my 70 Chevelle and they have settled down some since they were installed in January 04' but not much.

That stance is about perfect. Right where I want to be. Do you remember what weight springs you got for the front by any chance?

Did you change anything in the rear to get that ride height with the trick springs?

Thanks for your responce.

I used the Moroso 47140 spring on my 67'. They're rated to 1750lbs, my front weighs ~1870. The springs settled about 1" a few days after being installed and gradually fell another 1". They got so bad the car would bounce quite a bit after the launch and ended up dinging a header. I switched to a little stiffer Moog spring and they haven't settled at all, yet. I do need to cut about 1/2 coil off of them to get the front lower and get back some suspension travel. I also switched to a dbl adjustable front shock that allowed me to slow the compression. Now the car settles down real nice after the wheelstand.

Here's a spec chart for Moog's.

I have the heaviest moroso springs on my car also. My front end weight is 2150#. The car still sits 3/4" above the stock bump stops. The car has delrin alum bushings also. May be cutting a lil off the springs this year if it doesnt settle anymore. They've been on since aug or so of last year. From what i've been told for racing you want to be with in a 1/4" of the bump stops with the correct weight.
