I've got my Windstar fans on my '72 and was wondering since the bigger of the two fans has two speeds, I could wire up one of the speeds to turn on when the A/C is turned on (thus over riding the first fan speed...if its on at all yet).

To clarify, here are pics of the two motors.

Anyone done this?? Do I need to look at the wiring diagram for my Chevelle and use the A/C "triggering" wire for the stock A/C relay to trigger my fan relay? Any hints would be beneficial, especially if I'm missing something obvious here

Well Joe, I'm not an expert, but you might look into a "trinary" switch to trigger your high speed fan circuit. I think vintage air sells them. I believe (although I've never used one) this combines the high pressure switch with the fan trigger circuit.
