just rebuilt a 360 amc for a friend stock with "high compression" flat tops 9.5:1 from a rebuild kit no decking or head machining, stock plugs champion also had ac r44's. from take off if you go past the primaries it will ping then back off it goes away then you can floor it with no ping, now in drive cruising around 30 you can floor it and no ping.. using 91 octane, runs good other than that, but it is a definite ping, why only under take off load when opening secondaries? does diesel when shutting off...

running @ 180-185 locked out @36, and doesnt matter where timing is still detonates same rpm and situation.went down to 12 btdc locked and still detonates, pulled plug from each side and both white
