could you get an am/fm pb with a mono-speaker dash in 1970? I have an am pb out of a '72 right now...I like am, but not that much.

Don't know about 70, but I found several AM/FM mono radios that will fit correctly from a 75 Nova and Olds Omegas at the bone yard that fit my 72 perfect. Only difference is the knobs.

YES,

Unless you ordered an AM/FM-stereo you could get an AM/FM (mono) with a single center dash speaker. That's all a mono receiver needs.

BTW, 1971+ radios will fit, but they lite up blue at night, and have white lettering, unlike 1970 units that lite up green and have green numbers/lettering.

Oops, forgot the different lens/lights and the great Radio Tech coppertop! By the way I'got the Monte dash in my Elky along with the Mono radio. I used the radio wire harness from the Elky which fit the Olds radio perfect so I can still have 2 speakers in the dash.
