Hi...

I was wondering if someone could tell me how to tell the difference between a regular big block alternator pulley and a "deep grove" pulley for a '70? Is it the distance from the bottom of the pulley grove to the top of the pulley? And/or the length and width? I've never seen a part number on any of these guys. Is there a part number stamped on them? I tried to do a search, but I think it's down at this time.....

Thanks in advance!

Al

PS
Is this the wrong forum for this question...?

Not really the wrong forum. I can't answer this one and guess someone who knows hasn't shown up. I'll send it to the top again. If no answers come by, perhaps try the engine forum.

I thought it might be John so I posted it in the engine forum and Rick Nelson was able to help me. I, also, found a pretty good picture of one from Dean Ciampi's LS6 in the Feature Car section from June 2001. Thanks for the help!
