alternator bracket for 454 with short water pump

I was wondering if anyone knew where I could get all the brackets to bolt up my alternator to a 454 with 781 heads with a short water pump. I'm not overly concerned with chrome or anything fancy. By the way this is going into a 65 chevelle with manual steering and a 4-speed

thanks
Joe

I seem to be getting snagged on this. Does anyone have any part numbers of where I can get all the brackets to mount my alternator? I really don't care if they are chrome or not, just so they work. It just needs to fit a big block with a short water pump.

thanks
Joe

Do you need to be spoon fed to?
Just kidding.

AAB-4500 Upper Alt mounting bracket 65-68 BB($29.95)
ARZ-0027 Lower Alt Mounting bracket 65-68 BB
($46.00)

These I found by doing a search at our sponsors web page www.ss396.com
These are the factory stock looking brackets in black and mount the alt on the drivers side of the engine. Good Luck

Because the short water pump was what Chevy used 65-68. Long water pump did not come out until 1969.

do you mean Chevy used short pump from 65-68?
I think I know what you mean, thanks for the info, I was not aware of that. I guess you learn something new every day!

thanks
