Last Sat, while eating jambalya in the parking lot, I was talking to Jim (Luckyboy) and Beth Potter about taking a side trip to Lynchburg, TN to visit the Jack Daniels distillery (probably go on Wed). Lynchburg is about 1.5hr SE of Nashville (depending on how a person drives). Is anyone interested in going on such a side trip?
By the way, Lynchburg is in a dry county, so there won't be any free samples!!! My wife, Zac and I drove there during CB01 and really enjoyed the tour.

Well I plan on being there at CB '09. If all works according to plan in the next year my dad and I will both come. It would be nice to be able to drive the Super Sport and whatever I may have. Or just one of the two.

I will have to find out for sure whether I will be able to make it or not. But sure I could go see how they make booze. :D

Give me an idea about how to make moon shine if this whole real estate thing doesn't work out. ;)

John,
In 02 or 03, Zac and I drove over to Floyds museum. We really enjoyed that. Mom doesn't come to Chevellabration with us, she came for the first time in 01 and we ALL had a GREAT time. But she's the kind of person that once she's been there, seen it, done it, that's enough for her. So it's just Zac and me at CB. He still enjoys coming each year.

Tom, I hear you...I'm thinking about swinging by the Floyd Garret Muscle Car Museum next year. BTW, great meeting you and Zach...see you next year!!

It is worth the trip, I went there in 05 on my way to Bowling Green, Ky.

We are coming in a day early too and might be interested if you don't leave too early. 9-10 would be my early limit as I am driving in from 850 miles away and am also dang lazy and on vacation. I'm sure we could take the Chevelle's, but if the weather is crappy or we just want to ride together, I am also bringing the short bus. It holds 8-12 depending on how well you like each other. :beers: It has a good sound system if Mikey decides to get funky!

The Jack Daniels distillery is in a dry county. I'd be willing to bet the Duke boys are making a nice living around those parts!:D
