I have a 70 Elky with air. My fan works fine when I select the # 1, 2, or 4 position. When I select the third position, the fan stops entirely. I just replaced the switch with a new one yesterday. Is there another relay that may be defective?

Any Ideas?.

Out under the hood, over on the pass side, where the evaporator box is located, there are some connectors going to that box. One of these is a board with a bank of resistors inside the box. Unplug the wire harness, remove the part and check to see if one of the resistors is burned apart. This is where I would start looking. Power from your switch goes to these resistors, and then just one large orange wire goes to the blower motor itself.
