I've ran across a lot of posts about adjusting kickdown linkage, but I haven't found one describing one like this. Can someone explain how to adjust this one. Thanks for any help.
Remove the lock clip (photo 3), pull the adjuster "nut (that thingie that's screwed onto the kick down rod)" out of the carb bracket, adjust the adjuster "nut" in relationship to the bracket until you get the kick down action where you want it, then put the lock clip back on?
Well I guess after nearly 50 years there may be a little rust. I tried to adjust the nut and it wouldn't budge at all. So I'm letting it soak in liquid wrench for a couple of days and hopefully it will free it up enough.
