I've come to the conclusion that it would be better to replace my positive battery cable, rather than try to add a fusible link to it. That being said, what would be the best way to access this terminal on the solenoid? Does the starter have to come out or be loosened? I've crawled around underneath, and space looks limited to this terminal! (understatement-ha)
Has anyone undertaken this job, and how did you do it? Any help would be appreciated! It is a 68 396, with headers and factory air. Thanks-Al

I have managed to get a long extension from in front of the crossmember (by the fuel pump) and loosen/ tighten the nut, but you have to be able to get the cable and nut on there by hand first (I guess you could use tape in the socket...).

This was on my 66, BB, headers...

Sounds like fun
