I just watched this video by Pro engine builder John Kaase and my jaw dropped. I am amazed by some of the stuff pro engine builders deal with from day to day, and the tools they come up with. If you get the time, I urge you to take a look at this video. This is mainly to help out engine builders, but vids like this give me a renewed respect and amazement of what pro engine builders do...( "Assembly Tricks and Tips" video)...fascinating stuff!!

...and some other vids here.....

John Kaase is/was one of the best Ford engine builders out there. He was an innovator in ford pro stock for those without their own engine program in the beginning.
I've heard of him for awhile now, but never knew much about him. But after seeing that video, it doesn't surprise me to hear that about him. He displayed what looked to me like some pretty effective home made tools. A couple of those tools I would like to have. I wish he sold them. Like the double crab claw tool, or that lifter fixture gauge block. Some very helpful stuff there.

Very knowledgeable guy and quick to share it!

I saw a short clip of his shop on one of the TV engine shows. He had a cool device that shoved the balancer in place in one smooth motion, I'm guessing it's either pneumatic or hydraulic.

Want one.

AAAHHH so that was the intake reversion pulses slapping his finger up and down, eh? That's very revealing. This guy really digs into things quite a bit. Very impressive as well as educational. I love this stuff.

Yes that's what I took note of too: how quick he is to share his knowledge. I have a whole lot of respect for guys like that. And yes he seems to be quite a wizard when it comes to specialized tool making.
