My brother n law and his best friend came over and wanted to go for a ride in my car. Of course I couldn't just drive it easy. :noway: Now before you watch this, Mark Jones warned me about driving it too hard on the street. So I completely warmed up the engine then drove it about 3 miles easy makeing sure everything was nice and warmed up. I took out my 7,000 chip and put in my 6,000 chip. It didn't take much to impress them but you will see me in the mirror because he was videoing from the back seat. I have a huge smile on my face everytime I get on it. About a half mile from the house the fuel pressure guage started dropping. Fuel was almost gone. I had enough to pull it into the driveway.

Enjoy! :)

Hopefully that was on alky.
On the street its E85. But I didn't let it get over 6,000 rpm's. I know it looks like I really got after it but I really didn't. On the street I have to feather the throttle a ton. It will spin non stop feathering the throttle. Sounds like I am just mashing it but I'm not. This car is pretty sick. I absolutely love it. Driving it like that on the street isn't something I plan to be doing all the time. :noway:

I don't think RPM is the issue Del. If you're getting into it at all then you ought to run the good stuff through it. Something to think about.
Will do.

sweet! Always fun to take the "greenhorns" for a joyride. Trouble is, it is usually after after a brainfull of beer, no DUI's amigo!!
I drink and drink a lot. However, I don't drink and drive with my kids and I never, ever drink and drive this car. Trust me...I think it is difficult for the cops NOT to pull me over. I drove by a local police officer today and waived and a state trooper. Neither pulled me over but I could tell they wanted to. I have the full exhaust now but it is the bullits. Almost sounds open header. Having them come out the side in front of the rear tires now.

I know, I know you should never drink and drive. So for the record I love Buffalo Wild Wings (chicken wings) and I will usually have a tall bud and a small bud and still drive. It's not illegal to drink and drive, its illegal to be over a certain limit and drive.

Don't even get started....I can see where this is headed.

Nice video!!
Thanks everyone. I should have showed the guages. If you watch carefully, you will notice that I was always checking my guages before I romped on it. Temperature was always around 170 and oil pressure was always aroun 50psi.

I see new bests coming this weekend against Bob West. :D

rockin video there .... excellent planning on the gas for the exact amount needed .. lol
Actually, got very lucky. I was at work (running store) I just finished my 7.4 mile run and they were in the store buying some shoes. At a family discount of course. They asked about the car and I told them it was outside waiting for me to get home. Earlier in the morning I took it to the exhaust shop, starting with a full tank, to have the exhaust moved to the outside and further back. I didn't want the fumes to choke out my kids.

We headed home. They followed. When we got home I realized I left my keys to the car at the store. No big deal because it is a push button start, but I couldn't open the trunk to see how much fuel I had. I knew I started with a full tank so after doing the 9mpg math in my head I figured we could go 7 miles if we jumped on it a little. Sure enough a half mile away the fuel pressure guage would jump all over the place. As I was pulling in the garage it died.

Now I don't have to drain the tank for racing on Friday/Saturday. That saves some time. Next two days I am doing some "secret" stuff on my suspension trying to get ready for Bob West.

I want to go for a ride. That looked insane
It's a handful, both on the street and on the track. Figure I had 3 full grown men in the car. Both of them are over 200lbs each. Now imagine me and the car only down the 1/8th, slammin the gears. :D That is the part of racing I enjoy. Not winning, not the time....but the somewhat controlled chaos and knowing any second I could lose control. That is the rush of driving my car. Now imagine when I eventually throw some N2O at it.
