Not sure but after 35 years in operation, you would think that anybody that moved or lived nearby would certainly have been aware there is a race track there. Unless the real estate agent made sure to show the house on a non-race day.Wonder if noise complaints were a factor?
You know what Nigel, yes and no., it's also the sign of uber cheap money building stuff out that may or may not be profitable in the future. Race track land is "underutlized" when folks can build stuff with 2.5% money.I travelled from London UK to Houston Raceway Park in 1993 to attend a ''Super Chevy Show'' Wow what a great experience that was also my first visit to the States. What a shame its closing .... sign of the times unfortunately.
