This guy lives 15 minutes from my house. He started collecting 68-72 Chevelle/Elky stuff years ago with the intent to fix them up as a hobby once he retired. Well, now he's retired and doesn't feel like messing with the stuff. The field cars are pretty bad but inside the 2 semi trailers are all the good parts. I'm talking all kinds of big block blocks, heads, a.i.r. pumps, n.o.s. trim still in the GM plastic, cowl hoods with all the functional bits, TH400's, 4-spd's. The list goes on and on.
Enjoy crying and drooling at the pics!

Their are 33 pictures in all so i'm going to have to do this a little at a time.
Stay tuned for more cool pictures!

An older local guy who once owned a chevy dealership had a locked barn full of old chevy parts. A locked room inside this locked barn had shelves full of nothing but GM aluminum heads and intakes. I went by to see him the other day and he had sold EVERYTHING to one person who was coming to pick it up in a semi trailer.
He said he couldn't resist the price for lock, stock, and barrel.
Cool about the cars in the field. Wish his dream could have come true about fixing some of them up.

Too bad this was in WI. If this was NM or AZ those cars would be good-to-go!

Yeah, it does suck that they're all rusted out. I'm going to call him next week to see if he'll let me take pics in the trailers.:D
Yes it's all for sale, but he's trying to get it all sorted out to sell it online. Once he gets it squared away, this will be the first place i'll notify.

My kind of guy.
A guy who throws a SNOWBLOWER and TV's into the engine bay of a '70???

Why not into the bed of one of the Elky's??
It would have been less work.

It was both sad and funny at the same time to see that.

I'll bet that scene can be found in a thousand other fields in this country. "gonna fix 'em up someday'...........

why the quantity over quality thing? in high school in the late 80's i knew a guy who had 6-8 '67 chevelles. one or two ran, nothing was nice. probably still has them and still not restored. for every ten guys who say they are 'going to restore someday...', one actually does.
this guy just has a field of scrap iron, but good news for him is that it's going for about $100 a ton now. even in our present day when people will restore cars that should be junked, these would be just too far gone.
