Hey all, so while I will never believe my mild custom will ever compare to any of you feller's cars, I was given a sweet surprise at a local cruise this last Thursday.

I took my fam to the local cruise in La Mesa, Ca (East San Diego County), and parked my baby to go have dinner.

Here's the cool part:
When I got back to the car there was a note asking me to report to the dj booth.......

I know my non original will never be one of those 100k cars or numbers matching this or that but I've had her and loved her since the day I turned 18 and will someday give it to my boy.....actually he'll probably have to pry the keys from my cold dead hands, but at that point I'll be ok with him having it!!!

Wow guys thanks! It means a lot coming from you guys! I don't have any super recent pictures. Here are some I took a couple of months back. I've managed to add the remaining missing trim and antenna and am working on an air ride suspension.

Heada501, I am a very very stubborn guy (just ask my wife!) and even though I really suffered some pains trying to hold on to my Chevelle when I was younger, not a day goes by that I don't thank my stubborness now! It was hard holding on to my Malibu when it wasn't running and I was so broke I could barely pay my rent, but now it's good times and she's in my nice warm garage getting the finishing touches added! I'm now 29 years old and have had my Malibu for 12 years and hopefully will enjoy her for another 50!

Congradulations. It's moments like these that I'll bet you are glad that you held on to the car when you could have used the money for it else where. Nothing quite like the feeling of working on and driving a car that you have had since you were a teenager. Hope you have many more experiences like this in the future. :D

Wow wow wow, well thanks a lot everyone! I've been lurking for so many years on this site, I'll definitely do my best to be more active in the community!

Yes, I love my girl so much and am soooo glad I held on to her!
