What have you used to clean up the fiberglass a/C box in the engine compartement??

I used those Brillo pads that have soap or detergent built in....worked great, but then again mine was not too awful bad to begin with.

Mine was so nasty and broken on the 67, I took the whole thing apart and bead blasted it. I was able to repair it much easier this way. I had no idea how many parts there are to this system and how many gaskets you need to put it all back.

White wall cleaner works great. Be carefull on aluminum surfaces, it will turn them white.

Your box was metal? Blasting would be out of the question for the fiberglass but good for metal.

I'll check the parts store for whitewall cleaner too. Maybe I'll try that before the brillo pad.
