Getting my front end finished up but looking for steering tie rods, idler, pitman and center link thoughts, replace with all Moog replacements or is there something better?

The car still needs to be plumbed with brake lines and a few other things before it can be drove so I have a couple weeks if I need to order anything special, just didn't want to over look something if I should be looking at it.

I just bought all new steering parts for my 66 from Napa. They are made by Dana/Spicer.

I know from experience on my car that the Napa/Dana idler arm, center link, and tie rod ends stay tighter longer than Moog components-- especially the center link and idler arm. The Napa/Dana parts are still tight after the same amount of mileage that it took the Moog components to develop a little slop.

By a "little slop" I mean very little... but enough that I noticed it back up through the steering wheel and it bugged me enough to get rid of them. The Moog parts are now on a friend's car and doing very well, he isn't picky enough to notice the minute amount of slop.

I havent run my car yet but all my front end steering components also came from NAPA and I did notice that the heads and the area of the tierods where it tapers to the head are thicker / beefier than the moog sets I had. Everything fit mint and went together nicely, inner tierod zerks were also in the right spot on the tierod end. And to top it off each and every piece from tierod to idler arm and pitman have "Made in the USA" cast into them.

CAll your local Napa. I just ordered all new parts using only Napa Premium parts and they were about 40% cheaper in the store. Just tell them you want the premium parts and you should be good.

I ordered my parts from RockAuto. Some were Moog and the others (tie rods) were McQuay/Norris.

I called my local NAPA store and their prices were about 30% higher than RockAuto.
