I'm restoring/rebuilding a beyond rusty 1969 442 convertible which along with needing everything else also needs doors as the structure is rotted. Was thinking since I have to remove the skin anyway I might buy new Chevelle doors pull the skins and modify the frames to fit the Cutlass skins. Anyone done this before? Suggestions? Good Cutlass doors are hard to find and repairing these rotted ones will be time consuming.

Thanks in advance
Leon

First check the shape of the skin, different body lines will have different door shells not just skin differences. On the 72 wagons I have here both Buick and Chevelle door shells appear to be different due to the body shape.

72 Buick is blue, 72 Chevelle is orange
