I bought a used 94 Z71 5.7 , i turned it off , and when if came time to start it again it would crank over and wouldnt start.
I squirted a little gas in the throttle body and it fired , so I have fire and no fuel .
I put 12v on the fuel pump and it ran. I went to the fuel pump fuse and no 12v. I replaced the fuel pump relay and still no power to the fuel pump fuse.
I'm stumped and have no manual,,anybody have any suggestions on where to look next? Any help would be appreciated.

The obvious questions that comes to mind that you didn say anything about ... Does it have gas? (stuff has be stolen recently)

Another easy thing to do is put a new feul filter. If it was very clogged I could see it doing this

Thanks for the replies,, it has plenty of gas in the tank, we dumped 5 gallons in to be sure.
ECM fuse, I checked all the fuses in the fuse panel,, is this a hidden fuse somewhere?
I will unplug the oil pressure switch wire and try that next.
I really appreciate the help,, I thought the fuel pump was bad because when I put 12v directly to it I couldn't hear it run,,, So we dropped the tank and tried it again and it squirted gas everywhere, the pump was silent when it ran!

I just did a Suburban on Friday morning that had a bad ground at the pump. (This isn't your problem, hot wiring the pump wouldn't make a differance) Sometimes, the plug where the fuel pump relay plugs in melts, the plug will relax and lose contact with the relay. Just something else to check on.

Did you ever get this truck running?

No. Turns out it burned out the fuse and holder for the blinker and backup light.
Also burned some wires in the harness behind the dash.

Traced it back to the PCM unit...

Right now the dash is still out, had to check all the wires for more damage. Everything checked out OK except for the wires found burnt at the fuse box.
I had to be sure before replacing the PCM, I dont want to buy 2.

I;m still not sure why the fuse and wire burned.
