I know it is not a Chevelle. I was changing a front left axle seal in my sons 02 Sierra 1500 hd. I have done a few in the past but this time the retainer or snap ring that holds the stub axle in broke. I managed to retrieve the 2 pieces. First off I have to find a new retainer but was wondering if anyone has replaced 1 before. Wondering if I could put it on the stub axle and then push it into the housing hoping it all lines up and slips into the groove. Anyone gone through this before?
blumont, sometimes it's good to go to a specific site for things like that, fullsizechevy.com is a pretty good site. Some folks there can be asswipes, but a lot of good info. Glad you got it sorted out!!
