To help narrow down exactly where the leak is, get in the car and have someone run a hose over the area, starting at the bottom and working their way up the car with the hose until you can figure out where the water is coming in.

Same here, 84 Monte, leaks into foot well from the area of/under the AC box. Not coolant, have tried the hose, can't find the leak. However, with a long enough rain storm, theres the water. May need to check with the dash out...

All ears on this one as well.

The gasket between the heater box and the right kick panel (metal opening under plastic kick panel) shrinks and water leaks in around it. Pull the heater box off and change this rubber seal and I bet you'll be leak-free.

I just sealed up the outer heater box on my 84 S-10 for the same exact reason :( I just used "Right STuff" RTV Dry as a bone after 2 inches of rain last week :)

Another thing to check is if there are any wires going through the firewall that side. I had a leak in a truck where the water would run along a pinch weld, drip onto the wires and actually trickle back into the cab. Smeared a buch of goop on the wires and it's been dry since. It only happened when parked nose down in the driveway.
