im waiting for someone to tell me to move into the 21st century but i just put a NOS 8 track, am-fm stereo in my 72 camino (to make it period correct). the radio works great but i think the belt must have disentegrated with 25 years in storage. my question is: can it be changed without removing it from the dash?

The short answer is....NO. But if you want to spend several hours a day for the next year or so with a pair of jewlers glasses and and a set of good tweezers, you might have a shot.

Good luck

sounds like it would be like building a ship in a bottle. oh well i thought i would ask just in case someone had a slick trick. guess i will have to pull it out. [however, just in case anyone cares, i am spending more time in, under and over that dash than i enjoy doing!] :(
