Just finished putting in the borrowed BTE 8" converter.
Warmed everything up, set fluid level, ck for leaks etc.
Drove up and down driveway, set t-brake, snap throttle to the floor for a second............... instant 6100rpms.

So the weather appears partly sunny with highs in the low 60's tomorrow.
I plan to just footbrake the car and see what happens :D
Should be a noticeable change from the 9.5" edge.

I also noticed my headers hit the pavement and ground a considerable amount off one tube, from the combination of our potholed return road and the lower ride height. I better keep it slow so I don't grind them through
I may be putting my 6cyl springs back in.....She's getting real low.

Wish me luck ;)

Good luck, a 9 second time ticket is on its way. I took my Moroso front springs out also, they went too low also. Hope your headers are too flat.

What did the old converter flash to ? was it set up for foot brake or trans brake ? I have been learning alot about converters lately from a friend who works on trans and converters and learned there is a differance between the two thanks for the info.

I expect to hear about a nine. Hope the track is good!
I noticed tonight on the juice, that I was a 7K at the finish line.....and only 143. So when you get the nine, then want to spray, it won't like that converter.
Mine needs to be tighter...dang, there goes another $900

4500, not sure how it was set up.

As not to be redundant, read your signature ;)
:D

What fuel pump are you using Brian?
Holley mechanical 170 (holleys version of the carter 172)

Hey I see a new time in your signature!! Congrats!!
I can always use my Edge for a nitrous converter
We'll see how this one works N/A.
I was just turning my shift light on right before the finish line. 6500 with the old converter @134. We'll see how the 8" does.
When spray time comes I can always switch to a 30" tire too.

This may sound weird but it seems with the smaller dia., and less weight, the engine actually revs up quicker too. I know that should happen but I didn't expect to be able to notice a difference.
