Ive got a pair of stock 781 cast bbc heads. They were made in 1974 and look like they are very solid. They function correctly. Going to a swap meet this weekend in conroe texas and would like to have a good ballpark on what i could expect to get for these??? Thanks in advance for any help!

Yea they are going to be pulled rite off of the 454 with valves springs and so on. .

locally (we're cheap in tucson) you would be lucky to get $100 for the pair. Last set I bought I got from a person I know and bought alot of parts off of. I paid $80 for the pair, they have 20K miles on them. Only reason he pulled them was to go with closed chamber heads on his 454. He didnt want to haul them home and was happy to offer them up for that price. Unfortunately they're still sitting in the shed. I planned on using them on my chevelle and never got around to it yet. jim

I paid $200 for my set..lower miles fraom a previous rebuild. THEY ARE THE EXACT SAME CHAMBER SHAPE AND DESIGN OF THE 049 HEAD
