I wasn't sure where to post this so thought I'd ask here. Might need moved. I saw a red 72 Monte with a vinyl top for sale locally and left a message with the guy. The guy left me a message saying he had the car in dry storage for the past 5 years but lost his garage 2 months ago. States it runs and drives excellent and has 71,000 original miles. There's a dent in the driver's front quarter where his mom backed into it 5 years ago with her blazer according to his message. He states it has some surface rust but I haven't crawled around it at all yet and need to check the interior and everything else out on it as I only stopped by in my car and got the phone # off the window. I did see it has dual exhaust and wondered if that was original? I think it had rally wheels and kind of looked sharp from 10 ft away but like I said, I haven't checked it out closely. What's a "good buy" or what is this car worth? He states he's asking $2500 for it. Any thoughts?

Thats not to bad of a price in IMO. As long as it runs well and the interior is alright, I would buy it.

If it isn't rusty, that's a great deal. My Wife has a 72 Monte with 51k original miles. They're nice cars.
