I NEED SOME ADVICE ON HOW TO REMOVE THE DASH PAD FOR A 72 MALIBU. tHANKS FOR YOUR COMMENTS.....

If you take a look underneath the front lip of the dash pad where it over hangs the dash
you will see screws running the length of the dash. You will have to open the glove box door to see the screws on the passenger side. Remove these screws and the pull the pad towards you and up at the same time. There are little metal clips on the bottom side of the dash near the window used to hold the back side of the dash down. Sometimes they stay in the pad sometimes they stay on the dash and sometimes they fall behind the dash
You'll see how these clips work when you take the pad out.....Good Luck!

Don't forget that the pillar moldings may also need to come off, mine did on a 71 Chevelle. Also, the glove box door doesen't need to be removed, just opened. Hope this helps. Jason

Thanks for the help. It was fairly easy and all the clips stayed attached to the dash pad. Thanks again and I'm sure I will need some more help in the future.
