When I bought my elco the plate was off.

Is it supposed to be sealed completely??

Or does it somehow drain the bed??

I am real confused how this is supposed to work.

How does the bed drain if it is sealed up??

Thanks for any and all help.

Seal it. The draining of this area can be at the expense of a wet cab. Sealing mine fixed my water leak into the cab. The bed drains when I accelerate or go up a hill.
