72 EL Camino drivers door window adjustments

This is a manual window mechanism, my problems is now that I have the wing window and the door glass in when I roll it up I have to push in on the top aft part of the glass to get it to go inside the channel. I tried adjusting the all thread bolt at the bottom of the wing/front channel but it doesnt have the effect that I thought it would! Any El Camino guys adjusted the door glass? I do have the door off and it is setting on saw horses. I guess maybe I should try standing it upright and see if that makes a difference or just get it installed.
