Did the 72 Elcamino or Chevelle SS come with the seat belt warning light. This light would be on the dash just right of the radio. 72 Montes have this. I have a 72 dash out of a SS elcamino with that such light, but it says INDUCTION. This dash has no holes in the dash for the Monte wood overlay. Could this have been done at the factory?

Yep, elcaminos and chevelles had this in the ss dashes after january 01, 1972. Early cars built in late 71 may or may not have the seatbelt warning light.

Are you sure your says induction? Maybe someone playing around?

Thanks. I'm sure the last owner did this. The reason I'm asking is because the guy at Factory Wire said that no Elcaminos or Chevelles had the seat belt warning light. They build the new dash harness and said only the 72 Monte has this in the harness.

On a '72, the seat belt light is located just below the 110 mph numbers on the speedo. This is on 3 of my cars.

I have had 72s with the seatbelt warning light in the dash. The cluster thing I have never heard of before. I have to look but may still have a 72 malibu dash plastic with the seatbelt cutout.
