What would be an estimate cost to replace top on my 72 malibu vert...will need new top and pads

I just had mine done last year and it was right at $2,000 and 1 week. There are different grades of tops, so that'll play into the cost.

I’ve enjoyed having two 72’ drop tops in 40 years.
Back in the 70’s vinyl black or white were the only options.
Today, Canvas Color options are too many to consider.
Essentially grades ($$$$) vary in both materials .
Vinyl ranges $1,800-$2,500,
Canvas ranges $2,500-$4,500.
A mid-grade canvas will last longer than a high-grade vinyl.

Last top I had done was finished in 1-day, dropped it off at 8:00AM and picked it up at 5. I already had the old top removed. I had painted the frame and installed new tack strips. The guy supplied the new vinyl conv top and pads. It was too long ago for the price to be relevant.
