Greetings! The wipers on my 71 Sprint don't like being cold, and apparently don't like wet weather. When I turn on the switch, either slow or fast speed, they sometimes will not come on until after a few minutes, usually with a noticeable noise from my stereo. I have to admit that I get these noises from the stereo on most major electrical events (turning on the lights), so that by itself is probably a separate issue. I know the circuit completes through the switch - would a pair of relays (slow and fast) help this problem? Is my switch going bad? Any thoughts?

As usual, advTHANKSance...

So you went and broke the wiper motor? Only lasted for 32 years. Got a solid 12 volts on the motor yellow wire when cold?

Don't forget to check the ground strap on the motor.(It's under one of the 3 mount bolts) Could be some corrosion sneaking in there.
