My old (org.) booster is dying. 71 with P.D. Brakes. Question: Can the booster be R & R without removing the Master Cly. lines. I think yes, But not positive. This system is different than 70 P.D.B.

I would think so.... You could make up jig to hold the master cylinder in place.

Unbolt the master and push it out of the way. No need to disturb the fluids.

THANX GUYS Very much ! I was thinking it could be done. Most of my booster work is done with frame offs. This is on my driver.........
Thanks again, T-Chevelle people !:hurray:

I have also done it, no problem, but I have one other thing to make sure you do before you bolt the booster up, hook up, or at least put the cleaves on the rod to the brake pedal. I did not do this and when the booster was hooked up, I could not pull the pedal back far enought to put it on. Had to loosen up the booster to get it done. With the bolts hard to get to, especially the bottom ones, no fun to do it twice.

Bob,

You may want to remove the hood to gain some space, but it can be done with the hood in place.
