71 SS dash wireharness

I'm going to convert my chevelle dash to an SS tack set up. I'm having trouble finding a harness without breaking the bank. I have been told that it is possible to modify the existing harness to work on the SS set up. Does anyone know how to do this or where I could get the information. Thanks.

I've seen kits on Ebay to convert idiot light round dash to gauge style dash.

That sounds like a lot of cutting and splicing wires.

I changed my sweep dash to a round dash with lights and had to change the fuse box harness.
