Hello,

I had originally planned on posting this on the Monte Mailing List, but since it doesn't seem to exist anymore I hope that this is an appropriate place for my question.

I am going to be selling the my Monte (71), and I am wondering what a reasonable price would be to expect, and where would be a good place to let Monte people know that it is for sale (NW car club maybe?).

I took some pictures and put them up here:

I tried to show everything that is wrong with the car, so hopefully it is enough for a rough estimate.

Thanks for any help you can provide on this,

Mike

I sold my 71 Monte that was in a lot better shape with original 402 BB and 400 trans for $1600 with a brand new set of Goodyear's and 15" rally's. Monte owners club had it to be one of 6% with the options it had on it.
I drove the car back from MT and got 20 mpg with the highway gears.

Mike,

From the NW gang up here.....
Not knocking the Monte there but the typical rust, wear and tear, and no particular desirable features do limit your sale price. Have I overlooked any special features?

i would say $1000 tops. maybe you could get a little more if you clean it up a bit. it kind of looks like crap. nice car though.

around here u could prob get 2G
damn. you near worcester?

if he gets 2 gs for that then i could probably get 4 for mine :hurray:. i put mine up for sale for 2200 and some dude came by and offered me $500. mine is in much better shape but does need work.

these cars are way undervalued right now. eventually when people figure out that they are just as cool as chevelles their prices will probably skyrocket. here's mine:

Hi George, no special features that I am aware of, other than a Monte being special. :) Thanks!
