Look like a pretty nice car for the money.
Yea, I'm leaning pretty heavily towards it. Nothing real great about it, just clean. I just hope the pictures have not hidden any real ugly body work. Shifter does look a little far back.

look, if it's straight, and really has no mud in it, it's a deal, that car wouldn't last till tommorow around these parts. you'd be sick to see what 9k brings around here... it really doesn't need anything special to sell it, it's a clean slate, a rust free, straight car. i think that could be a bargain, complete and ready for any change you want to make to it...

heck a couple months ago, if i would have run into that, even without a engine or tranny, i would have dragged it home, after all the crap i saw out there, hurry before he slaps some ss badges on it and blows the price threw the roof, you can figutre that's wht the next owner (if not you) is going to do....

I have to agree, that trunk pan has had some SERIOUS work done to it for sure. Beware about the rest of it.

Looks to have had some serious patching in the trunk - I'd think the floor pans have to be bad or patched also. Check it over and under real good.
He said both qtrs up to the roof, trunk pan, and gas tank were replaced. Looks like plain flat panels were used in the trunk, so we will see.

Yea, Would be easier to work the shifter from the back seat than the front. :D - Also, No headrest on the buckets, Where did they go? Trunk looks like it has seen better days. Just look it over real good. Around here "no rust" means as long as the spray bomb covers it it qualifies as "no rust" even if it only last for a week.

After looking at the trunk shot, and knowing about the quarters, I bet I can find some body puddy in that car.
I will get blasted for this comment I'm sure because I know there are some very very nice high end cars on this forum...but I will say it anyway.

If there is NO body putty at all zero zilch none, then it isn't going to be very straight, unless it has a ton of primer. Just my opinion

Besides the quarters were replaced so unless they used lead.....

I know the guy is full of **** by claiming there is no putty in the car. I guess I am just trying to find something I can enjoy for a few years while I figure out if I can sustain the obsession. These cars are either cheap basketcases or mint condition masterpeices, there has to be middle ground somewhere.

when you find that middleground, let me know! I've been searching for a year but have not found a mid range car where the owner wanted to sell for the right price (imo).
