Please answer a question for a friend who doesn't have access to the internet. Did the 71 El Camino come standard with shoulder belts? Thanks for you help.

Sure did! It was seperate from the lap belt and did not have to be worn along with the lap belt.

Even my 1970 Elky has them.

I believe the shoulder belts and headrests became manditory in '69.
