My front right marker light is fussy.. sometimes it works, and sometimes it does not. I can reach in behind there, since my battery is held with a bungee for now,
and if I twist the plastic light socket in the bezel housing it lights right up. Do I simply need to maybe take a piece of fine sandpaper or a wire brush to the back of the turn signal housing where the blades on the socket contact it, and clean them up? I'd also propbably do the same to the blades on the socket itself. Does the light itself get it's ground from these contacts? If not, I think I might have a loose wire.. Which will be a joy to fix..
Anyone have similar prob on a '71 or '72?

The turn signal socket is a white socket, about 2 inches long with 2 wires coming out of it. Yes, it gets its ground from the twisted in fingers. Not had much luck cleaning these but you can try. Normal I just cut it off and replace it.
