I got / have several A-body from swap meets. Yes the stands differ based upon door skin profile, but most of the stands can be “massaged” to fit your application with careful use of a file/body grinder, etc. The mirror heads all appear to be the same and interchange...remote control or manual. I have paid $5-25 for them at swap meets/EBay, etc. My best purchase was a like new pair off a A-body Buick with the drivers side being a remote. Good luck and advise if you have questions about mirror glass.

Which are the best ones to modify? (I got / have several A-body from swap meets)
Are you willing to part with them?

Use / modify the stands that best fit your door skins, the mirror "module" portion can be detached during the "fitting process" and when you get the stands shaped where you want them, add the mirror "module" you like best to the modified stand. Refinish and mount. Yes , I have various sport mirrors for sale BUT they probably would still need to be modified the same as those you currently possess. Let me know how you make out.

You can use 78 to 87 Malibu,Monte Carlo not the SS ones and all the other GM divisions mid size cars have a good looking mirror too. 81 to 89 Impala's and Caprice's have the same bullet shaped mirrors too. 2nd Gen Camaro's can also be used but the base needs to be shaped to fit your doors.
In fact any mirror you are swapping off a late model car will need to be modded.
