How hard is the change over to p/w if I have a 70 Monte Carlo there to take the parts off of. I am missing the front clip and an orange wire that has its own gromet just above the fuse block and what looks like a relay is missing is this part of the wiring for the power windows, if so where can I get another as well as a wiring diagram for the power windows. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

You can get the orange wire with the grommet on it from M&H wiring as well as our sponsor Ground-Up/Year 1 etc. The orange wire that comes out on the firewall attaches to a circuit breaker of 40 amps. On the inside there is a relay that connects to the acc plug on the fuse block. That is to prevent the windows from being operated accept when the ignition is on. There is a wiring diagram in the Fisher body manual.

Good Luck!

Nate I installed p/w in my 72 chevelle and the process is not complicated. The orange wire plugs in the fuse panel on a circuit that is always energized. There is a pink wire that goes to a circuit on fuse panel that is energized only when the switch is on.As for the relay, around here in Alabama,it is un obtainable in parts stores. What I found is to get a w/relay out of a mid 70's caddy. Most salvage yards that deals in older cars is likely to have one around as GM made a lot of them. The only trick to this swap over is to drill your doors and jam area carefully.I advise you to get a fisher body manual. It is very detailed with wiring, adjustments and drrilling locations etc.Hope this helps.
