I have a '69 ss with the stock rims - love the look..p/u a set of 71-72 ss rims also the same as the ones on 73-79 camaro's....I was wondering if anyone has seen another 69 with them on..or better yet any pics...looking for some opinions.

Thanks

TC, my 67 came with these on and I've really warmed up to them. Look "official" and everyone, and I mean everyone, else runs rallies.

the early 70-73 wheels are slightly different than the later Z wheels, just a slight difference in the lip of the outer wheel. Functionally the same, but IMO I would leave them to the 71-72s, I just dont think they look right on the earlier models. A friend put them on his 70ss years ago and they just didnt look right! I would stick with the 69 SS wheels or go aftermarket.

Gene's car, if you haven't seen the pics, looks downright mean with those rims on it. I'm not sure about a 68-69 though. If you're going away from the factory SS rims, I'd go with American Racing Torque Thrust D or Torque Thrust II.
