Does anyone know where to find a correct intake fitting for a 71-72 Cowl Induction hood Chevelle? One that is 3/8" NPT with just one slip on tube for the Cowl Induction set up. My car is manual trans, No Air , No cruise and the Power Brakes line should go to the back of the carb. I looked in NPD and Ground Up and the only single slip on is for the Power Brake hose (larger diameter than the Cowl Induction line).
Thanks,
J.D.

i think that the power brake has a metal line line runs to a screw-on port in the intake (same location you are talking about) and the rest have slip on style. i also have a '71 SS396 with p/b, a/c, a/t and cowl induction, so i will need one that has a pipe thread for the p/b metal tube and 3 slip on style ports. i believe the one you need is ground-up part number apn-638, $18.95

Ok, Who is right? A lot of the resto houses have the PB tube for 71 going to the back of the carb and so does the Factory Assembly manual. Does someone with a survior 71 chime in on this? I know the 70 model year has the fitting Bill is talking about.

Thanks for the info Chuck! I ordered the fitting. I had a friend at NPD check a survior 72 El Camino (8K miles) that is in their collection and he found that the hose from the PB check valve is slipped onto a metal tube which attaches to the back of the carb (2 barrel). I am going by what the FAIM has printed.

Thanks to all for their input.
