No - same size on the elbow and the GM AC base tube. Are you sure??????
As I remember, the hose connecting the 2 is a different size on each end.
Yes? No?

No Idea, but I have the parts in post #10 on the factory GM open element AC on my street rod. The above, #11, will find that to be true also. This is the hose I'm remembering. What did it fit?
Couldn't you make it work by rotating the tube and still use the right angle metal tube and rotate it to fit in a longer rubber jumper hose. I don't think that the base fits double pumper Holley, at least not an 850.This is the best deal out there on an open element air cleaner. My problem is I run the old style M/T valve covers and the elbo and hose do not line up with the air cleaner.

Yup, the #163 aluminum intake is what is on my one car with the post #10 parts.A 70 SS that was originally equipped with an open element air cleaner (non cowl induction) used a low rise intake. The breather tube pointed toward the heater box and used a curved hose that connected to the 90 degree fitting installed in the valve cover. Not the one shown in post #10. The straight hose pictured there was used with the 69 and earlier tall intakes.
