I have a 7040202 QJet Carb, which I know is for the 350/300HP motor. I plan on running it on a built 70 402 pushing around 425hp. I know Qjets are touchy when it comes to the idle circuit when using a big cam. I will be going with a Roller Cam but still working with the machinist on the best type/duration.

My question is, does anyone know of a good place that I can send my carb too that can do a performance rebuild based on the specs of my motor to ensure it will run as it should.

Thanks,

Dave

In the past I sent my Qjet to the carb shop in southern Cal, they needed to know everything about the car and engine, ran the carb before sending it to me and when I put it on it was great out of the box. This was about 10 years ago and I think they may have changed hands but I still see their ad in the performance mags.

Go luck
