I have sought a set of stereo speaker grills for some time. When they do pop up I find that they are a bit more money than what I'm wanting to spend. I'm wondering what others have done to get a set up for their factory stereo radios? Have you found replacement grills that look close to the stock ones?

Steve,best solution is to buy the mesh stereo package tray.Looks/works mint.Bought one for my 70 SS454,and I was very impressed.
No speaker grilles for me!

Hey Mr.4speed,

How does it sound? I mean does the "mesh" tray muffle the speakers at all or is it just as good as having actual grills? I'd like to know as I was planning on buying this set-up from Year One.

I went thru the same problem - I wound up spending $80.00 on my set and it took a year to find them. Year One has repros but they don't have the studs attached and screws have to go thru the tops.

I just saw a set on E-bay - they went for $90.00.

If your looking to keep things totally original, wait for a set, if not go with the year one set up or the mesh deck. It won't interfere with the sound.
