A guy is selling a steering wheel at a decent price. It is from a malibu and I want to add the SS cover. I need the 70 so how do I tell the difference?

You can just change the shroud. On 69's I think the center emblem can be changed.

Make sure its a 69 or 70 steering wheel I don't know about 71 but I have a mint 72 and the shroud from my 70 don't fit

If the wheel is frojm a '70 Malibu you will only need to change the emblem in the shroud. I believe the mounting holes are the same for 'Malibu' and 'ss' shrouds. The grain on the shroud is the same for both. '69 wheels had a pebble grain and would require changing out to a '70 which had the leather-like madrid grain.
