Im aware the resonators were welded to the tail pipes, but were the chrome tips welded or clamped to the resonators?

What kind of clamp and how were they orientated?

Would anyone have a photo of a factory install from the resonators back I can reference?

I don’t have the resonators but the tips are clamped on with these hangers. If I can get a decent picture I’ll post it tomorrow.

My car is missing the resonators and I wanted to get an accurate photo's of the proper factory install from the resonators back, with clamp placement and orientation and what was welded and what wasnt.

I believe the chrome tips were clamped on but I'm not sure and I think there was a hanger between the chrome tips and resonators but again dont really know?

Resonators were welded onto the 2" tailpipes, with the 2.5" tips clamped to the resonators. Gardner exhaust makes a correct factory exhaust system so their site is very good for refrence. Gardner Chevelle system

I will tell you it’s a pain to get them mounted so they look right. I could only get a picture of one side because the car is backed up to the wall.
