I have almost everything connected, I have two black wires left, near the speedo. There is two small studs that come out the back of the speedo, which have two small nuts to connect something, my guess are these two black wires. Can anyone prove me right,if not what goes on these two prongs. Thanks for your help, Steve

I would guess the two black wires are the ground wires for the panel. They should be attached to the the steel part of the cluster. The same area the printed circuit is attached. There should be several ground screws in the printed circuit as well.

The two studs you speak of, I can only imagine, are not really coming out of the back of the speedo, but either the tach(if equipped) or any number of guages(fuel, amp, oil pres.)But 1 thing I am sure of is that they are most likely connected to the printed circuit board on the back of the dash and anything you hook up there could be curtains
for the PCB or the guages. Hmm could be a clock, don't have enough info on your car. Does it have guages or idiot lights? As far as the black wires are concerned I feel that the other guy is right in suggesting they are ground wires and do need to be hooked up to the proper places which one is the parking brake bracket, or the dash support(by ww switch) or the pc board screws. There are 3 black wires on my 70 a 18, 16 and 20. So....find out which ONE is hooked and then hook the other 2! Good luck to you and your car!
