Agreed … just trying not to over pay.. it is not at the dealer this is a private party sale.
Pictures look beautiful. I love it. But it would be impossible to put a real value on it from just pictures. Private sale on something like that could be around $100k. Auction could be well over $100k but again it would depend on several factors you cant tell by pictures. The question would be what are you willing to pay compared to what hes asking.

Understood but your ballparking helps. Just amazing how much market has changed in past 3 years .
Do you know enough about that car to do a really good inspection?? Have you seen the paperwork??
The pics are limiting. It does look good in the pics but we all know pics can be deceiving. A matching numbers 70 SS vert with build sheets should be near $100K. I wouldn't want to have to pay that much but could even be priced as high as $150K -$175K. As long as no issues anything $80K or below would be a deal.

It has been inspected. Everything checks out car is very nice with no issues or concerns. Here are build sheets .

It looks like the "SS 396" script on the fenders is in the wrong place. Big dollar cars should not have mistakes like that....just sayin.....

They are way too high. Someone thought it was a 69.

Good catch I didn’t even notice that before.

For me, this would be a huge red flag. How much restoration was done by someone who didn't even know the year of the car?

I googled images of 70 SS Chevelles and the badges are just below the top of the wheel well opening.
One of the best color combos for a Convertible IMO.

The car was delivered to Ohio so most likely a lot of panels replaced. The value is in how well it was done. I looked for a 70 Convertible for the last 15 years and it’s amazing how many are hacked together. I gave up and bought a coupe.

Things that jump out are the gap difference across the rear bumper, passenger side is about one inch more than driver side. That alone tells me the metal replacement was probably not done correctly, and that’s something you can’t fix. Also the quarter at the rocker doesn’t look right. Front is crooked. I’m picking it apart but I’ll bet this car is listed well over 100k and for that money it better be perfect.

Where was that information?

I saw the rear bumper gap as well. Inspection from my friend said all gaps are good except driver door needs adjusting . Ohio is on the build sheets .
Here’s some more pictures.

Not trying to rain on anyone's parade.... but have a look at the dash. Its been spray painted black, no silver accents at all.
Between the fender emblems and the dash, there seems to be some very rookie mistakes and/or flipper finger prints. I am not saying its a bad car, just take your time and check further into it before parting with lots and lots of money....
