I just bought new bucket seat tracks for my 70 and was wondering if they should be that yellowish metal color or if they should be painted a different color? Also how do those seat emblems attach?

Thanks,
Joe

JC00SS,

I may be wrong , but I beleive that the seat tracks were originally natural steel in color. As for the emblems for the seats, I think there attached with the sheet metal speed nuts. You can also use those flat spring clips that slip over the studs of the emblem. Those might be easier to use. You can find these at Lowes. I hope this helps you.

Just tore my buckets apart. The tracks are partly rusty but look to have been natural. The emblem has two points that push through a strip of metal. My seats have been apart before so I'm not 100% on the emblem mount.

The tracks are suppose to be bare metal w/ treatment. I cant remember the name but that is why they have the yellowish tint to them.

The seat emblems attach w/ round spring clips.
